This FoMaKo K600N PTZ camera is one of the best Auto-Tracking PTZ cameras yet. The K600N is the perfect choice for a small church that wants to track the preacher so you can focus more on the technical details and not always operating the controller joystick. A 4K camera with 20x zoom, this camera is a powerhouse that will deliver great video in a format to meet everyone’s needs. The K600N has HDMI, SDI, NDI-HX3 and USB 3.0, so however you need it, your video will look great. This is not my first FoMaKo PTZ camera and and I love how they keep improving with each new camera.
Pros - NDI-HX3, This version of NDI-HX is almost as good as Full NDI and works better than HX2 with H.265 codec
If you have other cameras, this is the easiest camera yet for changing the camera number so you can use the same remote with multiple cameras. You no longer have to use the remote, it is now changed in the Web interface.
Smooth PTZ movements in manual and auto-track modes.
Auto Track allows you to select close-up, Full body or half body zoom when in auto-track mode, as well as where the head is in relation to the top of the video.
You can use NDI and other video modes simultaneously, for instance, HDMI to your video switcher, and NDI to an IPAD/tablet or NDI studio monitor. In studio monitor you can even control the camera remotely and even through WIFI.
A single ethernet cable can be used to replace 3 cables on our older cameras. POE+ for power if connected to a POE switch, NDI video, and control via a PTZ controller using Visca over IP protocol.
Cons –
More expensive than I was hoping for. But you get a lot, and it is still cheaper than our original 6-year-old cameras
When viewing NDI videos there is a slight blur during rapid camera movement. Noticed when selecting a preset location. Of course, I am usually going to be in preview when I select a new preset position, so not really a problem
As I get older, I need my computer to give me larger text. So, my display setting is usually set to 125 or 150%. When I used the web interface, I lost a couple of key menus that I finally found by going back to 100% display setting. Again, not an issue now that I know.
Overall a great PTZ camera with tremendous flexibility and so easy to use.
